This privacy policy describes how APPVELLA, LLC ("Appvella", "we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit appvella.com.
1. The short version
Appvella does not require you to create an account, does not track you across the web, and does not sell or share personal information for advertising. We collect the minimum needed to operate the site and answer the messages you send us.
2. What we collect, when, and why
2.1 Server logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard HTTP access logs — IP address, user agent, request path, response code, timestamp. We use these logs to detect abuse and keep the site online. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used for analytics or advertising.
2.2 Local browser storage
The site stores small flags in your browser's localStorage — for example, whether you've dismissed our advisory notice. This data never leaves your browser.
2.3 Contact form
When you submit the contact form, your name, email, topic, and message are forwarded by our form-handling provider (FormSubmit.co) to studio@appvella.com. We retain that message for as long as needed to handle your request.
2.4 Email correspondence
If you email us directly, your message is stored in our Microsoft 365 mailbox under standard data-protection terms. We do not subscribe you to any mailing list.
3. What we do not collect
- No analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel, etc.).
- No advertising pixels, cookies, or third-party trackers.
- No social-media share buttons that talk to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.
- No "fingerprinting" beyond what every standard HTTP request unavoidably carries.
4. Outbound links to publishers
Every "Visit official site" button opens a third-party publisher's website (e.g. mozilla.org, code.visualstudio.com, videolan.org). Once you leave Appvella, the destination publisher's privacy policy applies. We attach rel="noopener noreferrer" to outbound links so the destination cannot manipulate the page you came from.
5. Your rights
If you reside in the EU/EEA, the UK, California, or any other jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete information we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of those rights, email studio@appvella.com or use the contact form (topic: "Privacy / data request"). We respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA), whichever applies.
6. Children
Appvella is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we'll delete it.
7. International transfers
Appvella's hosting and email infrastructure is operated by US-based providers (Cloudflare, Microsoft). Data submitted from outside the US may be transferred to and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses where applicable.
8. Changes
If we change this policy materially, the "Last updated" date at the top changes and we'll post a brief note in the changelog.
9. Who you're contacting
The data controller is APPVELLA, LLC, 828 Lane Allen Road, Suite 219, Lexington, KY 40504, USA. studio@appvella.com.
